Saving Our Customers in 2007

The Home Inspector General Inc. had a great year in 2007. In spite of a reduction in the amount of new home building permits taken out in Michigan the number of people building to a high performance standard continued to rise.

Our clients and the environment also benefited from building to an Energy Star level. The Home Inspector General certified 130 homes under the Energy Star program in 2007 for new construction.

This is equivalent to:

  • Eliminating the emissions from 91,000 vehicles.
  • Saving 49,920 pounds of coal
  • Planting 13 acres of trees
  • Saving homeowners $58,110 on their utility bills

The Home Inspector General also had a banner year helping residential and commercial owners reduce their energy bills on their existing buildings while improving indoor air quality and comfort and reducing ice dams.

If you are serious about reducing your energy bills (and your environmental impact) call The Home Inspector General to schedule an energy audit today (616) 878-7200 We are now booking appointments for Fall 2008.
