High Performance Builders
With today's high energy costs, building a home that is high-performance has never been more important. The Home Inspector General has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of high-performance builders throughout Michigan since the early 1990's. Consumers expect that all new construction is energy efficient s they rarely ask the builder for energy improving features. Long before energy efficiency became popular a select few builders have lead the field by setting a high level of performance for their baseline building package. Those listed below have a long and successful history, with The Home Inspector General, inc. of providing high-performance homes for their clients. The list could be substantially longer if we included all of the builders that have tried high-performance building once or twice. Obviously we cannot rate every builder int he state since we do not have a history of inspecting their high-performance homes so others quality builders are omitted from this list. The list is composed of builders that not only build to a high-performance level they also include high-performance features in their projects. Check with your builder to see what sets them apart in energy and comfort performance. The Home Inspector General Inc is pleased to recognize the following high performance builders:
As more and more builders change to the paradigm of high-performance home building we will add to this list. If you have questions about builders that do not appear on this list please call our office to see what we have on file concerning their best-built building practice. |
